What is a bengal rosette color pattern?
Rosettes are a highly desirable marking with more than one shade of color. Bengal cat coats have two areas, the background and the pattern on the background. Rosettes are found on the background. At first glance a rosette pattern can look like a spot that fades in color towards it's middle. There are several different rosette sizes, rosette colors and rosette patterns all are distinctive to Asian leopard cats that is passed down to bengal cats.

Note: Only one documented case of a pure African serval cat having rosettes has been breed captivity and recorded here in USA. Rosettes are currently non-standard within the savannah cat breed and most likely stay that way since the savannah cat standard reflects patterns and colors that best resemble the look of a pure african serval cat.
